About Teena Slatkin
Teena Slatkin has engaged students of all ages through animated and thought-provoking storytelling focused on Jewish topics.   She has embraced audiences in Denver, Israel and around the country for over 40 years with her vivacious style. She has taught classes around women’s issues for Jewish organizations,  and has led inspiring spiritual missions to Israel for women from varied backgrounds. She enjoyed teaching for The  Kabbalah Experience a class In tilted ‘In Tune with Time’.
Teena has a degree in Elementary and Special Education and is the author of the children’s book, LeRoy the Cowboy and His Magic Boot, which won the Silver Medal for Children’s Literature from the Colorado Independent Publishers’ Association.She most  recently co authored a new  book with Ellyn Hutt  ‘Living in the Present Moment a Divine Design’. It also won a Silver  metal in the Colorado Independent Publishers Association.
Teena is a passionate advocate promoting awareness about mental health within the Denver Jewish community and across the United States. She is the Co-founder of BaMidbar, the only Jewish, spiritual wilderness therapy program in North America, located in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Teena has been married for more than 45 years and lives with her husband Buddy in Denver, Colorado.  She has four grown children and two beautiful grandsons.
