Mussar, Kabbalah, and Brene Brown:  Manifesting Self-Confidence

Musar is a moral-spiritual discipline, a system of character development, or soul-growth, that taps the well of Kabbalah and offers a framework and a toolkit for translating that ancient wisdom into a personalized, ongoing ethical discipline to improve ourselves and our world.  This pragmatic and deeply personal study (and practice) of musar does a deep dive into the instructor’s own translation of a classical (16th Century) musar text called Orchot Tzaddiqim or “Pathways of Moral Leadership.”  This spring session will focus on the quality of personal power or self-confidence as counterpoint (or polarity pair) with the first character trait named in the Bible– bushah– often translated as ‘shame.’
