The “Radical Judaism” course challenges the notion of religion as an inherently conservative, tribalistic force in society. We will be reading excerpts from Rabbi Rami Shapiro’s book “Judaism without Tribalism: A Guide to Being a Blessing to All the Peoples of the Earth” and Arthur Green’s book “Can Judaism Be Saved? It’s Future After Gaza. Participants will be encouraged to bring in thoughtful, creative and compassionate articles and posts about the role of Zionism, the modern State of Israel, and Kabbalah in American Jewish life.
