It has been more than a decade since we used films as a doorway into the exploration of Kabbalah’s insights into the soul. In the Fall Semester we will explore: Identity; Masks and Essence, Synchronicity and Hidden Connections, and the Soul’s Unfolding through popular and independent films. Your commitment is to watch the assigned films prior to class and come ready to discuss. All films chosen will be available to stream (budget for films is an approximate cost of $30). A sample of films under consideration: Her, Departures, The Other Son, Waking Life, The Whale, The Sweetest Sound, Marty Supreme, American Fiction, Paterson, Nebraska, Philomena, Mother and Child, Three Identical Strangers, The Upside of Anger.
